Choose to Focus on What is in Your Control

If we affirm something each day...those daily affirmations will turn into our life’s philosophy. The small steps pave the road for the big journey.

Today I choose to focus on what is in my control. Because when there’s a lot that’s not in my control (and isn’t there so much of that right now??), I can easily get overwhelmed- and distracted by that overwhelm, and lose focus from all that is IN my control. And there is so so much of that too. (How we spend our time, our response to different situations, our practice of self-care...we could go on and on here!)

While this isn’t directly linked to bullying...I think dealing with bullying across the board does boil down to focusing on where I have power- personal agency. I can’t change another human- they’ve got to change themselves. But I CAN not get swept away by the ruckus the bullying might be causing. I can center myself, take deep breaths, advocate, and more. Focusing on our power is where so much of it lies.

So no matter what issues you might personally be dealing with- let’s all step into our power boots! 👢 💪
