What is the Gutsy Coaching Cohort?

The cohort is a small group of likeminded people who are interested in exploring self love, confidence, and understanding and getting rid of behaviors that no longer serve us.

We meet weekly for four calls over zoom on Mondays. The first 3 calls are from 6 - 7:30 pm Pacific, and our final call will be from 6-7 pm.

The curriculum of our coaching will loosely follow the content found in Gutsy, but will include new prompts, ideas, and of course the power of exploring these ideas as a group!

When is the Cohort?

Our first group call will be Monday, November 7th, 2022 at 6:00 pm Pacific. We will meet each week at the same time and our final call will be Monday, November 28th.

What’s Included?

  1. Three weekly live 1.5 hour long video calls hosted by Dr. Leah Katz from 6 - 7:30 pm Pacific 11/7, 11/14, 11/21

  2. One 1-hour cohort wrap up call 11/28

  3. During each call, I’ll be teaching you actionable steps based off my clinical experience that will help you understand what’s been keeping you stuck and how to set that aside and access more meaning in your life. We’ll also explore the interplay between mindfulness and living our fullest lives.

  4. Reflections, discussion, and Q&A each call to dive deeper into what matters most to you

  5. A free print copy of my book Gutsy

  6. Access to the private Gutsy Cohort Facebook group where you can connect and stay connected with other graduates of the cohort.

How much does it cost?

The month-long cohort is $300 and includes a physical copy of Gutsy mailed to your address, access to the slides for each week’s call, and continued membership in the private Facebook group.

How many spots are available?

Due to the intimate nature of these calls, I am only offering 8 spots. Sessions will not be recorded.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy is designed to treat and diagnose clinical issues. Therapy often involves exploring the root of maladaptive patterns and and the past, with a focus on the relationship between therapist and client. The length of the therapeutic relationship is usually less defined from the start and can often be longer than a coaching relationship.

Coaching is completely different than therapy in terms of the agenda and relationship with your coach. In coaching, there isn’t discussion about diagnosis or treatment of clinical issues.

Coaching is about talking about the details of the here and now, meeting you where you’re at, and helping you understand what goals you need to set to help you take the next steps to accessing your longer-term goals (i.e., more meaning in your life). Coaching is practical, actionable, and doesn’t involved working through your past. Coaching is a short-term and time-limited relationship from the get-go.

Engaging in coaching with me does NOT mean we have a clinical relationship or that I am your therapist. If you are struggling with your mental health, going for therapy and treatment is likely the right avenue for you.

Times to seek therapy and not coaching:

  • If you’re struggling with your mental health and it is impacting your daily functioning.

  • If you want to explore and talk about your past and how it is impacting you today.

  • You are having high risk thoughts and/or behaviors.

  • You can do coaching and therapy with two different providers at the same time. I will not accept pre-existing or current therapy clients into my coaching groups because of the dual relationship involved.
